1800's NORTH WIND & GRIFFINS Carved Oak Chair STOMPS BURKHARDT Co
Please note - I will add more photos & info tomorrow. Very impressive carved antique oak chair. The back has what I believe is called the "northwind" and the spindles are called griffins.
The chair is very ornately carved and the feet even have claws. It's in very good shape with only minor age wear which I will show photos of tomorrow when I have better light. The chair back measures 37" high and the spindles are 41 1/2" high. The seat is 19 1/2" wide x 18 1/2" deep. I was told that it came out of a local (Oshkosh, Wi) church.
