Antique Circa-1900 Hand Carved Oak Architectural Gothic Griffin Cats (Lot of 2) The detail is fabulous! I do not know the origin of these except that they came out of a Major Collector/Antique Dealers home. They look like they could have been on the sides of dresser, or possibly part of the legs of an antique chair, although they do have something on their heads that indicate that they were to be attached to another part of something. These are hand carved and truly unique! You will not find another set. (they are not identical) They also maybe could be used as book ends. These are definitely part of a collectors truly unique & rare pieces. Do with these as you may, they look amazing just on display. They weigh just under 2 Lbs each. 11" tall and 3" wide.
