The upholstery is in very good condition for its age, but there are a few small stains and the trim is loose in places. There is a 1/8 gap in the joint between front and lower left stretchers, but I do not believe it needs attention. Lastly, there is a small 1/4 chip on the backside of the lower cross rail.
Overall, this chair is in fantastic condition for its age. There are signs of use on the arms and lower front stretcher, but I believe this chair has been unused for most of its life.
I acquired it in a dusty condition from an estate with a very large collection. Even though the dust looked good, I lightly cleaned and waxed the woodwork.I did not attempt to clean the upholstery.
