Large Antique Medieval Gothic Revival Carved Oak Lion c. This is a very fine large Oak lion carved in the round, of medieval / gothic appearance but probably mid 1800's.

The back & sides are punch stamped with stars. It is likely that the lion is a pew end from a church. CONDITION as per images with a rich patina. The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
