Wimbledon-Furniture is delighted to offer for sale this rather lovely original early Victorian English oak and Embroidered wingback armchair. A very early and original wingback armchair, the embroidery is period, these pieces were decorated by elegant Victorian ladies to prove they could keep themselves occupied and not be a nuisance to their husbands, quite crazy by todays standards in any form but still very interesting as a conversation piece. In terms of the condition the frame is solid and stable, the upholstery is period and original, it has some wear areas, some fading and discolouration, nothing you wouldnt expect from a 160+ year old armchair.

This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses SW19-3BE, we can have it delivered nationwide to include Scotland Wales and Ireland.
