Up for consideration is a fine pair of French Gothic Side Chairs in good old Leather. The measure about 30 inches in height with a width of 18 inches a depth of 18 inches in depth and with a seat height of 18 inches.
They are stamped "France" in the bottom side. The leather is stained lightly discolored but not torn. Please note the chairs look awesome but this leather would probably rub off on your clothes. The chairs sports good old tacks to hold the leather in places. Both have quatrefoil cutouts on the crest rail. They really have a look to them. They look like they are Spanish Revival in form or French Gothic. They are hand made with wooden pins no nails.
The chairs are a bit loose which is normal due to light shrinkage. These are bench made meaning made by hand. When one first looks at them they look like they 17th or 18th century and of which the construction techniques are more or less the same.
They are both stamped "France" meaning they were made for Export some time after 1891. Please see photos as part of the description.
