Pair 48 Antique French Gothic Revival Oak Wood Display Pedestals/Plant Stands
Description of item for sale. This wonderful matched pair of solid oak pedestals is from France. The pair dates to the Gothic revival period of the mid-1800's. The carvings are especially beautiful on these pedestals with complimentary figures hand carved from solid oak.
They are in very good antique condition with no woodworm or dry rot. Note the cracks in the massive wood blocks-typical of the shrinkage that occurs in old pieces like this. As we do with all of our furniture, we finished them with a coat of antique grade paste wax that will maintain its beauty for years to come.
